Zen Bound Hits the App Store, Impresses

Secret Exit’s long awaited title for the iPhone/iPod Touch has finally hit the App Store, and it was worth the wait! Zen Bound is a unique puzzle game that has the player rotating small wooden or stone objects in 3D to wrap them in rope. The act of wrapping these objects will see these small beautifully modeled items change color. To “complete” the level you have to use your limited supply of rope color at least 70% of the object, but you’ll bloom more flowers on the tree by hitting 90% and then finally when 100% colorized. Confused yet? I was too, but after watching a great video on Youtube linked below I was sold.

I’ve spent about an hour with the game so far and am in love with the entire game. From the soothing soundtrack, to the sounds of stretching rope, to the level select presentation… Secret Exit has given us something special to play on our iPhones!

Watch out for a full review of this title soon both here and on the Touch of Gaming podcast, until then watch the video, look at the BEAUTIFUL screens, and pick up the game while you are at it… you’ll love it!

Zen Bound joins Chillingo published iDracula and Vector Tanks that came out last week. They are no doubt a publisher to watch on the App Store!
